MANAGEMENT

Station Manager:

Mike Smith

Mike oversees all station activity and output, and ensures his management team are constantly pushing the station and its members forward. He also liaises with the guys at CUSU to maintain high standards and compliance with regulations.

General Secretary:

Paul Forey

Paul’s job is to ensure members are kept up to date with what’s happening from day to day at Source. Paul keeps track of meetings and ensures everyone turns up!

Treasurer:

Ryan Smee

Ryan keeps a beady eye on how much the station is spending (and on what), and ensures we’re making as much as possible in return!

Programme Controller:

Paul Bodman

Paul is in charge of all the presenters at Source, making use of his real radio experience to train up presenters, manage the schedule, give training and advice on shows, along with co-ordinating on-air promotions and events.

Technical Manager:

Ned Talbot

Ned is our superhero when it comes to a dead PC or something goes ‘pop’! He ensures everything the presenters use in the studio, office and out at outside broadcasts works, and takes care of our servers!

Promotions Manager:

Nairmi Smith

Last year's station manager Nairmi loved her position so much, she stuck around again as promo manager! Making use of her media and persuasive skills, it's Nairmi's fault you've even heard of us!

Production Manager:

David Leighton

David makes most of the adverts and promos you hear on the air, ensuring it sounds as fancy as possible and that it goes in the right place on our playout computers! The jingles and sweepers will also be his job soon too!

General Secretary:

Paul Forey

Cos he’s a little bit greedy, as well as being General Secretary, Paul heads up our events, so when something's happening then he is there!

Music Manager:

Charlotte Keene

Charlotte points us in the right direction when it comes to music, she also tells them music companies what we like and what we think is downright rubbish! She’ll also ensure that the presenters play what they’re meant to!

Social Manager:

Ali Foote

Ali is a social kind of person, hence when the Social Manager job came up he jumped at the chance. He is responsible for organising and motivating all the guys at Source Radio, and enjoys a good drink (a prerequisite for the job).

News Editor:

We're looking for an enthusiastic, reliable News Editor to coach a team of journalists to write and present great reports on air on ‘The Source’. Fancy being there wherever the story is?
