A first year Coventry student is doing his best to raise money for orphans all over the world. Tayek Miah, who is currently studying economics, aims to raise £50,000 through a series of events and activities for example a trek up the K2 mountain and a big fundraising funfair. 

The big fundraising funfair is set to be held on the 3^rd of May and will start at 12 p.m.. It will be held on Kenilworth Road in Coventry. 

Tayek is so driven in his cause because of his love of his religion: “being a Muslim to help people is a pillar in Islam as in Charity the third pillar, helping orphans is my greatest thing I’ve ever wanted to do.”
